Kanipe graduates from KBA Emerging Leaders Program

Skyler Kanipe, Project Manager for Community Financial Services Bank (CFSB), graduated this December from the Kentucky Bankers Association (KBA) Emerging Leaders program. The KBA's Emerging Leaders program is designed to find and develop future financial leaders in Kentucky through specific and comprehensive bank and community related activities.

Ballard W. Cassady Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of the KBA says "This program is a stepping stone; it not only provides them with experience and engagement among their peers, but it involves them with our organization by giving them a first-hand look at how we work together with our banks on a daily basis to ensure the success of our industry."

"What stood out the most during the Kentucky Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Program was the need to have a forward-looking approach to the evolving financial landscape. This has been a uniquely challenging year for the banking industry to say the least. With guidance from the KBA, I was able to gain insights on industry trends, regulations, and collaborate with banks across the bluegrass. This experience has afforded me the opportunity to get involved behind the scenes and experience the dedication it takes to advocate for industry success," added  Kanipe.

CFSB Chief Operations Officer, Nancy Adams said, "As the banking industry landscape is ever shifting, programs like the KBA Emerging Leaders develop our future generation of leaders.  Skyler is a prime example of this. She gained such great knowledge, but unmatched networking throughout the Bluegrass.  The hands on experience is so valuable for the continuation of her career!"

The KBA, based in Louisville and celebrating its 132nd year of serving Kentucky banks and their customers, advocates for its member banks and thrifts at the state and national levels. With legislative, regulatory, legal, compliance and educational support, along with vetted and endorsed products and services, the KBA is an integral part of the financial health of the Commonwealth.
